Małopolska Regional Development Observatories (MRDO) are part of the strategic management of the region.

MRDO consist of four observatories:

• Małopolska Development Policy Observatory,
   

• Małopolska Economic Observatory,
   

• Małopolska Social Policy Observatory,
   

• Labour Market and Education Observatory of Małopolska.

Work of all observatories is focused on conducting research and analysis on socio-economic processes in the Małopolska Region and on the realization of the development strategy objectives, and in particular on: the impact of the EU funds mobilized for the development of selected sectors; economic situation in the region; condition of the enterprise sector; social integration; equality of opportunity, employment and education.

Creation of the observatories is the first step towards the establishment of the regional research center.

is a project implemented by the Marshall Office of the Małopolska Region.
The activity of the Observatory concentrates on the impact of the European Union funds on sustainable development of the region, on development of selected sectors of regional activity as well as their impact on the implementation of the Małopolska Region Development Strategy. The Małopolska Development Policy Observatory has a co-ordinating role in the system of the Małopolska Regional Development Observatories.

   MAŁOPOLSKA ECONOMIC OBSERVATORY

is a project implemented by the Marshall Office of the Małopolska Region.
MEO monitors state of the Małopolska economy. The Observatory provides current information about economic cycles, condition of enterprises, international investments and other important factors that affect the economy of the region.

   MAŁOPOLSKA SOCIAL POLICY OBSERVATORY

is a project pursued by the Regional Centre for Social Policy in Krakow.
Areas of activity: research and analyses from the profound diagnosis of chosen areas for social state of affairs in the Małopolska region, collection of accessible data from the area of social policy and simplifying evaluation of efficiency of implemented solutions in the area of social policy.

   LABOUR MARKET AND EDUCATION OBSERVATORY OF MAŁOPOLSKA

is a research project conducted by the Regional Labour Office in Krakow.
The project activities focus on gathering information and deepening knowledge of the regional labour market and education.
